Just trying to find out if the guy that flipped over after he hit the parachute and crashed at Norwalk is OK?

I don't know. His chutes opened and threw him into the wall, I saw fire but luckily it didn't light the car up. I hope he is okay.

Randy mentioned it to me this afternoon, said something about 60 mph cross gusts at the track.

It was a solo pass and the wind was whipping while he ran, by the way. We walked the pits and never saw the car there, they probably put it in the trailer so no one was gauking over it.

Water creeping out of the track on the big end. Right after the stripe. Its happened before according to Big Shank.
It happened twice yesterday. Some chick totaled her car also.
How is your Wife D? The heat really got to her. The poor girl. I thought she was gonna pass out...

This has been an on going problem at Norwalk for years. I have been at a national event there when racing was put on hold while a back hoe was used to help with the drainage. We have the same problem at TMP in Ontario. Still not cured.

I don't think the chute had anything to do with that wreck ,other than he probably threw it after it turned hard left. I felt my car slipping up on the big end. Thought maybe I was just paranoid after wrecking it last month The guy was ok ,just sore , I talked to his partner in the dragster in the lanes.Lucky guy ,he tripped the clocks at 163.95MPH

Nothing worse than bad accidents at racing events. I know the crowd likes to see them for some sadistic reason, but getting people hurt and vehicles destroyed is a very bad thing.

I agree, anyone who has built a car, drag car, truck or anything like that knows how much goes in to it. So we are the one's that know how bad it sucks, but you can always rebuild your car. You can't rebuild your life if you die, I was worried the whole time during the crash and hoping he was okay. The spectators who haven't built anything just don't get it.

Your absolutely right Dano.
I watched him break off into the wall. His chute wasnt completely out when he broke loose. I dont think it was 50' after the stripe when he broke loose.
