For OEM type heads they work well ... and don't require a lot of valve spring which is nice for a DRIVEN street/strip car.

So you think one would work well for detuning a 410ci 10.3:1 compession Cleveland engine with worked over 4v closed chamber heads? I'm kinda wanting a more street friendly and show friendly cam now, with my recent updates to my next engine. Laughing

Wouldn't that cam profile make very broad power and tourque?

It will help......... They are ground on a 107. From my experience, we ran them for years, they like a narrow LSA.

The last one we ran was ground on a 100 LSA it performed the best of everything we tried. It's funny when you look in the cam book they list most all 4V Cleveland cams on a 108 or wider.

We tried a 98 LSA but ran out of intake valve to piston clearance. And decided to put the old cam back in.

We also set the cam in at a very early intake center line. Very early............

Nothing over .590 lift, I don't want to beat my valve seats up Laughing
I think I'll add the large thumpr can to my list

I ran it one night at tnt one time it ran the high 7's I think it was a 7.87 in the 1/8 in my 69f100 but the track did not have a long shut down back then I had drum brakes all the way around manual brake no power brake on top of that.I hit the brake after the 1st pass and the truck seem like it picked speed and the end of the track was coming up in a hurry and pine trees at the end. affraid So I loaded it back up and never carried it back after that. But it surprize the crap out of me the way it ran in the heavy truck. I had a 3000 stall c6 trans,4.10 gear with 28 10.5 slicks on it with 3/4 ton leaf springs out of a 64f100 and they are still under the truck.
