I believe a Dry sump would be the best choice, if your rules allow it.

If you got the coin, the room, and the ability to use one within the given rules I see no downside to the dry sump.

there is no real down side to a dry sump, just a little added weight, it takes up room, and now theres another belt on the front of the engine.

the pro side is, makes more power,and in a race car its safer, no real oil in the pan if it kicks a rod out, let's the engine rev faster, helps ring seal, better oiling,sump can not become uncovered .
