ok so i am wiring up my turn signals finally.

I am using the stock turn signal switch with hazard....and the stock electronic flasher....I also have new sockets for the headlights and frotn side/turn markers.....

So i am looking at teh diagram from my haynes manual. and i notice there are no relays from the switch to the lights, and the wiring is all 18g. Does this mean no relays and 18g wire is suffienct. There are no high beams being used in the front.

I was planning on using relays for each side or possibly each corner, but if i dont have too I rather not add it.

Headlamps use at least 5 amps each ... I'm not sure but, I don't think 18ga wire will handle that amount of continuous current; 16ga, maybe.

I hope I explain this right, a headlight or light bulb does not need a heavy gauge wire to it, because they really don't "draw" like a starter, fan motor, or electric fuel pumps do. The light bulb only gets as bright as what voltage gets to it. Would the lights be any brighter with relays, I don't think so, but it is a good way of doing it. I'm using relays on my lights, only because a relay bank was included in the switch kit from ARC.
