Ford Thunder @ U.S. 43

This was the name that carried the most votes. I will try to get some fliers out to help promote it here.

Anybody else that wants to hand any out in your area, that would be great

This race is not my race.............. It is a Ford race happening here in middle Tn. that I am helping get together for everybody.

I am not making a dime off of it, and truth be known It is taking time and money away from me.

I hope all that comes enjoys it............... That's what I'm doing it for.

so what are the classes /payouts ?

I haven't heard from Russell yet, I will let you know as soon as I find out, he may post something on it.

My name is Andy Hunt, one of the managing partners at US 43 Dragway. The date for this event will be June 23. Ford Thunder will be held in conjunction with DBR High Performance's Fox Body Tribute. We will have Fords only at the track on Saturday! Class breakdown and payouts have yet to be determined, but should come out very soon. Most likely we'll be doing Box, No Box, and trophy street for bracket races. Also, DBR will have a chassis dyno on site making pulls.

Also, there unfortunately will not be a dirt drag held, drag racing only on the track.

The tracK guy that does the classes just pm,d me and told me to call him tomorrow at five. I should know something then. I'm hoping he will do some type of heads up deal, I would like to get into it too.

The taller tire definitely absorbs the hit a little better, and the added footprint helps also, if you've got the room it will definitely make things easier. What gear is in your car now?

4.30 and is kinda tuff leaving now it needs what you were saying bigger tire, and less gear I can't leave on it like I would like to.

I still have some testing to do,I'm just leaving at 3800 on the break.

So, I presume that it has been determined that this will all take place one day and not be a separate day for grudge racing and T&T ...?

what was posted tonight is a good bit different from what I discussed with Russell I will find out tomorrow.

If we can't get two days, I don't know if its worth doing. We have guys coming a long way just for one night, and I have the tree and lights set for the dirt drags also, that sounds like are canceled.

All this was news to me tonight.

I assume your running a glide...? I'm switching from a C4 to a glide with the bigger motor. The C4 was stupid violent and generally would need some love after 15-20 passes. My car is geared for the 1/4 and spray, but is fine in the 1/8th too with enough spray its fine with the tall gear. I generally 60 in the 1 teens on the rears. I'll have to test with the glide and see what it likes.

Yes I run a glide and on the motor its at 7750 through the 1/4. I have not got in the teens yet, 1.200 close but ain,t there yet. I am tying the front down and trying it at a higher leave rpm on the engine And see what happens before I change anything.
