598" ;) A head - Dyno results page 6
I started a thread in the engine tech section but thought it would be suited here as this build should go fairly quickly as I will be running the back up DOVE headed 514 until this build is done and don't like going backwards. I broke the "Seth's 557" from the other site so here we go again. I am going to salvage some parts from the 557 for the 588. The new block should be here Sunday. Here is the plan...
A 460 block
Scat 4.5 crank
Scat 6.7 rods
Diamond 4.560 gas ported pistons 15:1
New style TFS worked A460 heads
TFS worked R series intake
Healthy roller camshaft to suit
Stud mount roller rockers w/ Jomar girdle
QF 1250?
2 1/4" stainless headers with 4" Kooks collectors
Most needed parts were ordered today and will update as we go along. The goal is a reliable 1000+ hp.

No x275 in the near future for me but I want to leave that door open. Hence the 588 instead of a 598.

I've got a new set of Fab Shop stepped headers, still in the box, never ran. 2 3/8 to 2 1/2...someone needs to own them...

better plan on making some serious hp to compete in that class. considering alot of x275 cars ive seen are just outlaw DR cars detuned and running smaller tires lol. someone from ct where im from has a mustang with a 588bbc that makes close to 1200 on motor and has a rather large steve johnson tuned shot of nitrous

A460 block here, small parts starting to trickle in, and heads sent off. Let the fun begin!

Charlie Peppers wrapped up the machining and balancing yesterday. My wife had surgery today so beginning assembly may have to wait until next week. Hopefully we will be bolting her to the dyno by the end of this month and testing in the car early August Cant friggin wait!!!
