Re: Baller 466" build.
Its a guy I've used a lot over the years, he had a lot of work dumped on him but damn I need to get my f'in block back.
If I would have known it was gonna take this long to get it done I would have left the old deal together.

Re: Baller 466" build.
well the 8.2 deck block is done, Im pretty f'in pissed off about the cost though.
I shoulda went and got the son of a bitch a month ago..... oh well Im over it at least I can start puttin this 321 back together and get started on the 466. The block needs a good hot bath its been packed in bearing grease for 10 years. I'll take it to the machine shop I should used in the first place.

Re: Baller 466" build.
a bore, hone and dip in the tank cost about as much as I have in the longblock of the 466.
When he said his torque plate was too small i shoulda went and got it.
lesson learned.

Re: Baller 466" build.
ended up with a few changes....
victor jr 4500 intake
holley 8082 1050
Jomar power cone
Jomar rocker stud girdle
pro comp tall valve covers...
Edelbrock alum waterpump
scored a pump to rob the gears out of for the Kasse unit
Moroso Fox pan w windage screen etc
Im gonna go ahead and have the block re cleaned etc and pop a set of wide cam bearings in it. Also gonna send the cam out and have it drilled for a 2nd pin and a 7/16-20 bolt.
I will send the carb to Madix out in CA and let him and the goose go through it and make it street friendly.
I know its been slow going but other projects have been priority.

Re: Baller 466" build.
Is it going to be capable of doing a burnout if it has the P/C valve covers on it?
