If you don't have a windage tray in that thing you better tear it back down and get one in it because with a stroke that big it will pick up oil from the pan ... and the heads should flow 340 in 232 ex... about normal for them...

Thanks for the info Coug no it don't have a windage tray I did put a low oil pressure light in this time.I didn't buy a windage tray it will be get a new pan when I do the frontend swap on it next winter. On a windage tray will it work with any pan or do you have to get one for what pan you run. This is my 1st stroker engine of any kind so I am new to what all is needed for for one.The pan has already been on a 557 with no problems turning 7200 rpms without a tray is the only reason I did not ask about a windage tray.

Re: A429 552 BBF
Jim I just use a motorsport windage tray works fine, I have seen many times when you start getting up in the stroke the crank pulls oil from the pan, not so much on the front sump pans but way worse on the rear sumps. But it is nice cheap insurance in either case

I will check in on 1 my engine is still on the engine stand just recieved my push rods today and will be next weekend before I get a chance to install it with work. So no big problem to install one now might as wail go ahead and do it now and be done with it and added insurance.

Re: A429 552 BBF
552 is up running truck moves under it own power once again it is alot heather than the 460 didn't get on it but eased down on it just a tad and it felt better than before.I only have 110 turbo blue in it right now not enough octane to get on it hard but I can still feel the different in power.

Re: A429 552 BBF
Thanks guys I will post some results after I make a few passes hoping to carry it in 3 weeks for some tnt passes still need to do the gear change to 4.30 ,new universal joints, and put a bigger battery wire to the starter. With this engine my starter is pulling more amps and heating the wire up some when the engine get up to temp.Starts ok when the engine is cold if the cable change don't help then I will buy a new starter I have the db starter on it now.I have never had a problem with it on the 460 starting but it don't have the compression like the 552 does.

Kim I don't have room for a spacer right now until I do the frontend swap under it amd remove the windshield I got to cut some out of the cowl.I am afraid if I cut it now the windshield will crack from no support from the removing the cowl and windshiel bracing.I was looking to cut it while the engine was out but decided to wait until I do the front end change then lexan windshield.
