5 lug conversion on drum brakes for a Fox Body

Are there and 5 lug drums available to use on the stock 8.8 4 lug drum brakes?

check Vic's and Lincolns,

Early model rangers 8.8 drums will work. Use (2) drivers side axles out of the ranger for a 5 lug axle swap as the ranger is an offset housing and the fox isn't.

We are going to get a Strange Spool, Axle and C-clip eliminator package, so I won't need Axels.

So 80's Ranger Drums?

or 80's / 90's vics?

I can reuse my brakes and just put the drums on? I don't need to get the complete set-up?

I'm not sure about the Vic's, but I know for a fact the ranger drums will work. Done it many times. 8.8 ranger

No problem Dave. I threw the axle part in there for others to know too. If you ain't running big hp it's an easy stock swap.

Doing one right now Dave if you need the part numbers . I also will have the correct rotors too. we are changing over to the sn95 front brake calipers spindles and rotors.

7.5 axels are the same spline as 8.8 and work in the 8.8 from mustang to mustang
Ranger and ford aerostar van drums and axels
Lincoln mark VII front rotors
If I remember anything else that will interchange I will post up.

83-88 T-Bird/Cougar axles are 3/4 inch longer each side. ( 1 1/2 in. wider overall)


Yes, the Ranger drums (and Ranger axles ) will fit the T-Bird, but it will move the wheels inboard 3/4 inch each side. (making it the same overall width as a Fox Mustang rear end)

A Lincoln MK VII rear end is the same width as the 83-88 T-Bird.
94-98 Mustang rear is the same width as a 83-88 T-Bird.

As posted above, Lincoln MK VII front rotors or 94-95 SN95 Mustang spindles and brake setup.

You can get them here Sand Man   I for got to add they have the axles too if you need them.
