2017 F250
I just bought a used 4X4 17 F250, man this thing is tall. I would like to lower it some what. Has anybody done anything with these newer trucks?

I have one and they are ridiculously tall. Like I am going to go mud bogging in my $70k truck. Everywhere I go I look at 2016 and earlier and they sit a lot lower so it sure makes me wonder WTF was Ford thinking?

Hell I had to re-learn how to get into this thing it is so high. Probably 4-6" higher then my last superduty. I imagine I will wear out the drivers seat in half the time now. lol.

I’m guessing they finally put some real springs in them.
I had to add springs to my 12 to keep it from dragging ass when towing

The ass is all jacked up in the air like my 03 F350 is. I think it will be great pulling a trailer but I hardly every do that.

Last year I was at a Ford dealer and took these pics.
16 vs. 17
Both have the same FX4 package.
I did not measure but the '17 appeared to be 2 inches taller.
Yes, the new ones stand tall

I recently bought a 2011 F150 4x4.
Ford added a 1 1/4 inch block in the rear under the springs on the 4wd models vs. the 2wd..
I am going to remove those blocks the help level the truck out.
Not sure how thick your blocks are on your '17 tho

My 17 has a 3" block, the guy that had it first must have raise the front. I will hook up my trailer first and I will lower the whole truck later. thanks for the pics.

Went to Sacramento and back last weekend, amazing power, but disappointed with fuel mileage. Got exactly the same as my 22 year old 7.3 with 450,000 miles.

Mine is still new but I am getting 15... at 80 mph. My 7.3 was similar till it broke in. Then I added a DP tuner and I get 18-19 now... at 80.

Mine is new also, only had 4300 miles. I was towing race car. At 70 got 10 mpg, and at 60 just under 12mpg. With this 6.7 ..... there are no more mountains or hills.....

2017 F350 Dually CC 4x4, 3500 miles on mine. 12.5 mpg empty @ 75mph. Loaded with backhoe, 31,000 lbs - 7.5mpg @ 65 mph. No problems what so ever on hills.

Re: 2017 F250
my 05 didn't ride decent unless it had 3000# of rocks in the bed! Hauled 2 pallets of wet sod on it without a problem.dfree383 wrote:jasonf wrote:dfree383 wrote:You guys are getting old....

Re: 2017 F250
Update......I took the leveling kit, 2" spacer, out from under the front spring. Went to Oregon Auto Spring and had them remove the 3" block and install a 1" block. They made new U Bolts and installed all in about one hour. Less than $200. Now the running boards are just 1" higher than my old 2 wheel drive running boards and the wifes expeditions running boards.
