SR71 and Godzilla...
Building a NA 1100 hp BBF at Kasse's shop with SR71 heads and going over the design concept of port design with Jon of the SR71 head.

New kit being offered to swap the 7.3 Godzilla engine into a Foxbody/SN95 chassis.
There must have been an LS engineer somewhere involved during the design concept of the Ford 7.3.

There is a LOT of day light in between those strut towers with the 7.3. Making decent pipes for this swap will be easy.

Just need ford to produce the bejesus out of them and offer cheap crate motors to make them popiular and avaliable....... but past history says that just won’t happen.

My first thought when I saw the new 7.3 was how to fit it into one of my coupes or Galaxies.
As a hopeful sign, a 5.0 Coyote from a Mustang goes for about 4500 in the wrecking yards around here, while a truck 5.0 goes for about 2500. Hopefully the wrecked F250s with the 7.3 will be treated accordingly. It's just a truck motor...

I hope I’m wrong but I don’t see the aftermarket support being very strong for the Godziwa if the F series is the only platform that Ford offers it in. The other thing is transmission options, the 10 spd is a big hunk of aluminum that won’t fit in a lot of stock transmission tunnels.

I hope I’m wrong but I don’t see the aftermarket support being very strong for the Godziwa if the F series is the only platform that Ford offers it in. The other thing is transmission options, the 10 spd is a big hunk of aluminum that won’t fit in a lot of stock transmission tunnels.

They will be putting it in other platforms, other than 6 bolt main and same type rocker arms, it is superior to a ls engine and nothing like it..
Bigger bore spacing, larger cam core, taller deck, taller installed height, canted valve, non crank driven oil pump, etc...

What are you basing your statement on? Do you know someone at Ford that told you its going into other vehicles or just speculating? I hope youre right and we see a ton of these in other platforms or maybe a rebirth of Boss 429

According to Evan Smiths videos the 10 speed fits the fox tunnel

I don't see why they'd change transmission bolt pattern from "mod" pattern. And if so, wouldn't any 96 up transmission fit? They make plenty of C4/C6 and PG/400 housings for mod already if track is main focus. I don't see that being a hurdle for fitment. It's no light weight even though narrower than the 385 series but I too look forward to a "new" Ford platform for traditional builds (esp if less LS engines end up in Fords, lol). It looks like it will receive a Whipple/Lysohm type blower as easily as a LS and spells a good future.
I've got a blown 5.8 and a turbo 5.0 in the stable and appreciate the tech, but still prefer the pushrod simplicity for a track/hot rod. Yep, I'm over 50...it shows (shoot I see 5.8 and 5.0 and still think Windsor first).
