Starting a New 466" BBF build, Hear is what I have So far

Milodon 4 Bolt Caps
460 3.85 stroke crank done by Adney Brown.
Scat 6.605 Hbeams
Arias Domed .030 over Pistons
1/16 Rings
Set of Clevite Bearings. 10/10
ATI Damper
Set of Home Ported Eddie RPM's With SS Valves and Erson Valve Springs.
Heavily Modified Weiand Tunnel Ram and 2 Holley 1050 Dominators.
MSD Distributor
Kaase Oil Pump
Comp Roller Lifters
Comp Roller Rockers
Ford Racing Billet Timing Set
ARP head studs
Custom Solid Roller Cam by Scott Main at Cam Research / MPG (Specs to Follow)
Still need to get a Oil Pan, Probably get one of Lems spec'd Charlies Pans and Pick-up for The Kaase Pump.
Things to do......
1) Get Block Machined and Caps Installed
2) Check Clearences and Mock Everything up.
3) Blend Domes and Fit Rings
4) Balance Rotating Assembly
5) Measure for Pushrods
6) Clean and Assemble
7) Dyno and see what we got.

Sounds good but isn't two 1050's way too much ? or will a hi winding 466'' take it ? i know they say these motors love fuel but damn
i cant wait to see the results
will you vs. it against a single dommy as well ?

Re: Yet another 460 build......
Going against popular thought, a tunnel ram with a pair of 1150's worked very well on my 470 inch Engine Masters engine; horsepower peaked at 6,600 RPM.
Charlie had a 466 which peaked at about a hundred RPM higher with a pair of 1250's on a tunnel ram.
Both engines over 750 horsepower had well worked P-51 heads and made great torque all the way down to 3,000 RPM.
The only parameter which might have suffered was response.

Expounding on what Randy has already said, we even had the 2 1250's on a 432" Boss 429, it worked and loaded @3000 Rpm but they got weird and hard to tune. I may test it vs. a single 4 haven't decided yet, do have a Mafia and a Ford Racing Single Plane to test, but the testing is a ways off right now.
But to directly answer your question, No 2 1050's are not too much on a specific drag engine.

On the engine Charlie and I did, the Dominators made in the range of 30 more HP from the hit all the way to peak (if I remember correctly) over a pair of well prepped 4150's....... Charlie was amazed.

Why another engine build? Do you have another car for it or are you just doing some trial and error testing? Will this be the dragster's engine?

Love builds like this, can we get more details cr ratio, cam spec, top rpm, guess on peak power. Also is it a factory crank or after market.

Re: Yet another 460 build......
It will be in the 14:1 range & its a Factory Cast Crank Preped by Adney Brown.
Cam is in the 275ish I 286ish E @ .050 with .800+ lift, don't have the card in front of me, going from memory.
Anybody care to guess on the HP?
Here's a picture of the Intake.
