I was curious if anyone has dynoed this combo or something similar?  466 with flat tops, zero deck, ported dove heads flowing 325/180 ish, victor intake, 1050 Holley, comp 294b-8 cam.  Roller rockers, race gas, comp ratio is close to 11-1.

I know that's not super specific.....

Might be better to include cam spec's with your thread, because someone may have used one close, in case they do not want to look up the comp cam spec's or have them memerized, and you may get more response's.

With a close combination with a solid flat tappet cam around the same size and a 4150 style, 950HP carburetor ... 580 lb/ft torque and 545 Horsepower

Thanks Randy, does the victor 4500 manifold need any attention at this point?  Will a Holley 8082 be ok or should I look for a different carb?

How is this to be used...?  A #8896 can make a bit more power however, the part throttle fuel metering is terrible.

The manifold can be helped if you don't expect a big increase; it is pretty good as it is when the heads are "VICTOR" port matched.

No dyno numbers but my car ran 9.72 with a very similar combo.  TRW flattops, A429 heads that flowed, 320/190 ported G429 intake, 1000cfm Prosystems carb. C-4 with 3.89 gears.  Car was 2930 with me. Same cam degreed 2 advanced.

Use will be 50/50 street strip.  In a f100 approx 4000 lbs.  Current cam is 238/248 @ .050 .560/.588 lift.  Small headman headers and a 850 Holley with 8021 stealth.  Heads have been worked on.  Have the new cam and victor intake.  Larger hooker headers are in the shop for it, current flow numbers are unknown.  Ran a best of 12.80 with 3.50 gears, need to change them for some taller cogs.

Anyone ever try one of those dambest carbs?

Kyle, you and I would have been fender to fender in my old '79 F-100. My best was 12.82.  466, D1VE block, TRW forged big dish pistons, DOVE-A heads with exhaust bump removed, Torker II intake, solid Crane cam--246/256 @.050 .563/.583 lift 108 LS installed 2 or 4 degrees advanced, I don't recall now, 750 Holley pumper, junk small Flowtech headers, 4000 stall, 4.11 traction lock.
The thing came off the line like it was shot out of a cannon but nosed over kinda on top. I was shifting at 5200 and going through the lights, I think, at 5500 or 5800. It was a street/strip truck with full interior and exhaust. Fun as heck. Scared a few people when I took them for rides... Laughing

Karl's Flat top, DOVE heads, Victor and a dominator did about 630 hp with a big roller.

My brother ran a couple 466 combos as you described. 600 lift Flat Tappet camshafts, 3000 lb cars, both ran Mid 10's in the 1/4 in 2 different cars. Less than 600 HP?

Running close to your build... 472ci, a429 heads, victor, 950, 258 258 615 615 sft cam, 3.89 gear, 480hp... runs 11.50 in a 52 F1 at 3870 with 600hp adding 125nitrous hit 10.54 @ 127
