STEERING SHAFT

What's the differant between the manual steering shaft and the power steering shaft?

On a factory fox mustang, the shafts are the same. The difference is in the coupler at the end. Manual's will have a smaller splined hole for the manual steering rack than a power assisted coupler. There used to be someone selling a an insert on E-bay, that would fit inside a power steering coupler to adapt down to a manual rack. It is splined on the ID and OD.

I know j can get another spline u joint. I'm after the coupler that has splines on the inside and outside that will fit up in my existing spline u joint.

I bought mine on E-bay. I could get you a picture if you want, but it has been several years since I bought it. Can't remember the sellers name.
