Carb pad lifting eye Empty Carb pad lifting eye

Will one of the carb pad lifting eye hold an aluminum head/intake 460 and a C6? My leveler is hitting the firewall before I get the engine far enough back.

I have used a simple carb pad lift plate with an iron headed 460 having a C4 attached,
with no issue.

There were some tests getting around some time ago , those lifting pads took near 9000lb before failure .

Dont worry I built myself a couple of these .I made them a bit longer so I could have four holes .To have different installation angles no problems after 20 years .I have been welding 40 years.Doug

I know it looks sketchy but I've never had any trouble with them just make sure the nuts or bolts are tightened good.

It is both. Mostly Nice! Multiple removals/installs of 572 using this tool.
