Did you figue out why the car was so slow to turn over there at the end? I knew when the idle started coming up own its own it had to a vaccume leak or running out of fuel. Figure out what happened to your shifter?

a manual pump that's not compatable with e85 could "shit can" and make little ones in your fuel line which will get in your carb. Laughing that's what i was getten at.

Probably not just dirt, rubber and stuff disentigrating...... Filter isn't the solution.

Need to make sure the stuff is Alky Compatable along with the needle and seats, Fuel Lines, Pumps, Filters Ect.

You need to review your whole system and make sure its right.

1) Stuff needs to Be Alky Compatable.

2) You need a regulator.

3) You need to read up on Fuel Systems, Holley and others make some real good books.

4) Clean and Flush Everything and add Filters.

I'm glad it was just a loose bolt on the shifter problem. I didn't think about it running out of gas until later on. Did it start craking over normal again? You just had a lot of problems hit you in the span of 5 min!

You did say the car ran a 7.80 letting off didn't you?

X2 on the book.

E85 is a good fuel to run. I been running it for 2 yrs now and love it, but if you don't know anything about carbs you will fight it untill you do. All the basic systems have to be in place. I have not seen a issue running E-85 on the pump side my pump is for gas, but got a rebuild kit for Alky just in case, remember E-85 has gas in it and it is not as harsh as alky.
