No more aftermarket iron blocks
I hear they are gone for good. How true is that? So only aluminum at a huge cost?

I so like your comment "There will be blocks from Ford." That is so positive and from you I can take that to the bank.
I dont need one right now but am concerned. As soon as you have the ability to sell one for me to put on the shelf. Put me on your list and consider this a commitment.
Also, please broadcast availability when you get the word. This has gone on way too long. I am thinking ProCharged 547 in the near future.

Re: No more aftermarket iron blocks
I spoke to eliminator a couple weeks ago. they say they're not giving up on finding a new foundry. but when and if that ever happens is anyone's guess. I believe they will succeed but no telling how long the list is. I got my name on it anyway.

There are blocks. The machining thereof has been the issue.
Re: No more aftermarket iron blocks
I have seen folks talking about an aluminum block from Eliminator, but I never seen one, and their website has no mention of one either.

LOL. Their words not mine. I’m looking for 1500 minimum but preferably 1800-2000 on the next one.

Re: No more aftermarket iron blocks
I would bet when iron is available again their new price will make the aluminum look a whole lot better, considering it's repairable, you can get what ever options you want and much shorter wait. It seams like every one with a cnc mill is making their own now a days.

Note the part where you included my quote...and check your own shoe size. I suspect it's much smaller than your hat.

notice how including ones quote who was answering you just automatically included yours too? Or is that over your head too?Mark O'Neal wrote:cool40 wrote:I wasn’t referring to you but if the Shoe fits……Mark O'Neal wrote:cool40 wrote:funny? Re: No more aftermarket iron blocks
Back to the topic.
I ran across this video on Godzilla from PRI that has relevant info on blocks.
Skip to the 10 minute mark and listen to Mike?

Does anyone know who Mike is?

I know Guy Wagner is making well north of that in a solid C&C block. Blown methanol.Dave De wrote:BBFTorino wrote:I have seen folks talking about an aluminum block from Eliminator, but I never seen one, and their website has no mention of one either.
