Roll cage how many points ?

How many points do I need on my roll cage to run mid 10s?

According to the NHRA rule book roll cage diagram the minimum to be called a "full roll cage" is 8 points. Windshield "A" pillar bars (2), main hoop (2), rear facing main hoop supports (2), diagonals from main hoop/seat cross bar joint down to floor/sub frame connector (2). But it doesn't hurt to add more attachment points if you want to make the car more rigid.

If you are running an unaltered firewall and floorpan you can run the 6 point roll bar. The 8 point is the preferred way to go, as it is much safer.

Kind of depends upon what your ultimate goal is. Are 10's as fast as you desire or are you looking down the road at running in the 9's or even the 8's. Build it right the first time and save having to update later and second guessing yourself. You'll save money in the long run as a bonus. Just a thought.

X2 on doing a full cage 10 point and sub frame cont.. to 8.50. If you are going after the no cage look have a custom cage built with the bar up and out of the way.

yes go ahead and do it right the first time cause we always want to go a little faster and when it all said and done you wish you had a tube chassis car.

I have a 8 pt. now and I do want to go faster. I should have did it right the first time but i have to make things complicated. I am running 10.64 can I get away with running it in BG in the king of the street class?

Is it a 8 pt bar or cage ? both will be legal to 10.00

You are good to 9.99 or slower. I went through this a few years ago, had to add bars to my car to cert to 8.50

Give Bill a call and he can hook you up when you need to add bars through the dash etc...
